Handcrafted paper sculpture 2020

Materials: Crepe Paper, Wire, Pastel Chalk, Glue, Paint, modeling clay (eyes)

This is a delicate sculpture of a Mantis Religiosa I created with artist’s Crepe Paper. For my sculptures, I am inspired by the beauty of nature and I try to make them as lifelike and detailed as I can, but for this one I chose to keep it monochrome. This Mantis is almost lifesize, it measures around 6 cm from head to tail.
